  • What are your favorite CD’s?

Starting today, MTWY will be unveiling a new feature of sorts. In short, it will give us, the members of MTWY Nation, a chance to collectively view the music that we hold dear on a very real and tangible level. Some albums take us back to a certain place and time; others may have artwork that simply resonate deeply with us. Whatever the reason, we all have kindred CD’s that we will hold on to for the rest of our lives.

In today’s digital age, we all have digital cameras, iPhones, or camera phones. Here’s your chance to share personal pictures and/or stories of your favorite albums. This two-step process couldn’t be any simpler.

    1. Head on over to our Facebook Page and become a fan.

    2. Add your photos and/or captions to the fan photos section.

It’s that simple. We’ve already shared some of our favorite LP’s. Check them out here!

  • Sigur Ros x YouTube x History

“Sigur Ros and YouTube make a little bit of history this Friday (Mar 7)
with the band taking over the entire front page of the site around the
world for a whole day, becoming the first group to ever have a
feature-length music DVD streamed on the channel, with their acclaimed
‘Heima’ documentary shown in its complete 97- minute glory.”

“In the presence of great art and beauty we inescapably feel that there is real meaning in life, there is truth and justice that will never let us down, and love means everything.” – tk.

  • Once.

Since the independent movie “Once” was released in theaters, I had heard nothing but positive things about it.
I finally rented it and watched it over Christmas and fell in love with
the music and the story. The song “Falling Slowly” from the movie was
nominated for Best Original Song on Sunday at the Academy Awards and
surprised everyone and WON! As a blog dedicated to stunning, redemptive music, I feel I must share this song with all of you.

  • I should have kissed you by the water.

An epic cut from Bloc Party. This song/picture combination takes me to a higher place.

And I can see our days are becoming nights.
I could feel your heartbeat across the grass.
    We should have run.
I would go with you anywhere.
I should have kissed you by the water
