For those in tune with the pulse of indie rock nation, the words Vampire Weekend should have a familiar ring to them. The New York City band met while at Columbia and got their big break from where else but the music blogosphere. According to Wikipedia, the band is influenced by both African popular music and Western classical music.Their bassist is the nephew of Scott Baio. VW have appeared on Letterman, SNL, MTV, BBC, and now MTWY. This song will resonate with you because it’s awesome.

Today, MTWY would like to salute one of our dedicated West Coast staff members who will be leaving for the Far East. Among other achievements, JH was instrumental in coordinating logistics for our one and only live chat which took place this past summer. You may or may not be aware of this, but Snow Patrol is releasing a new album later this year. This is rumored to be the title track from said album. Let’s just say it’s a departure from their old style but refreshing in a huge way. What do you think? Enjoy.
