This is a story ’bout the three of us,
Down by the water and the tide is rising
This world is burning and I’m terrified
I need a little more time with you, oh
I just need a little more time with you

New John Mayer Song
I could have, would have, should have, posted this 2 weeks ago. According to the Queen of All Media, “Say is a tune Mayer wrote for the upcoming Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman film The Bucket List, and it’s quite majestic.”
What do you think? I am unimpressed. On a scale of 1-10, I’d give a 6.

Architecture in Helsinki = Cute Indie
I’ve been a huge fan of the Architecture in Helsinki album “Fingers Crossed” for a couple years now. In my mind, it is their best work and everything else since then has been an utter, chaotic, disappointment. Hopefully the lads from Australia can get back on track real soon. Nevertheless, a beautiful track off “Fingers Crossed” recently made it into a heavily aired commercial by Sprint (You know, the one with those sweet neon lights). The first time I saw the commercial I was immediately plagued with a severe case of iknowthissongitis. After the sickness lingered for about a week, I finally realized the tune was none other than Souvenirs by AIH. Cherish this song.

With an envelope we’ll enter buildings we might touch
I’ve got souvenirs but yesterday can’t mean too much
Have we missed an opportunity?
Whispers, Chinese leaves a message, leaves a metaphore
For what once was gold and once was rich but now is poor
