  • With a new Killers album and a new Keane album my entertainment budget is going to take a major hit :)  You post some great music on here.

  • Oh man, this is so good! :)

  • Wow, this is amazing! Thanks for telling us, guys :D D

  • You have a really nice site

  • Awesome! Absolutely Awesome!

  • Excellent!

    I’ve always loved The Killers.

  • So excited! I saw them in ’06, and they are awesome!

  • I think they raise an interesting question: are we human, or are we dancers? Obviously, as the “or” implies, we simply cannot be both human and dancers. No matter what you might have seen in a club or on television, that simply is not “dancing.” Circus bears in Russia rolling around on balls are dancers (coincidentally, they are not bears!) Additionally, displays of flamenco on hispanic television stations do not depict actual humans doing the dancing. Those are actually plants dressed up to look like humans (isn’t TV makeup amazing?!?)

As for myself, I can’t dance, so I am human. I also have soul, but I’m not a soldier. Oh man… can you even imagine the punnet square here? You can either be human or a dancer, you can either have soul or be a soldier. So we have the combinations of a human with a soul, a human soldier, a dancer with soul, or a dancer that is a soldier. Man, there’s not a smarter band out there than the Killers. Those guys are philosophers!

  • Miraculous, you’re ridiculous.

  • @hopelikefeathers - not to mention new snow patrol and new aqualung.

  • I love this song, however I can’t decide if they are singing dancers or denser. I did look up the lyrics and there seems to be some confusion. Anyone know for sure?

  • @Nicola - i think it’s dancer / singular.

  • I think the Killers have an amazing talent with a great beat!  I always get psyched when I hear this song!  It gets me pumped up everytime I hear this.

  • just love it, reminds me of alphaville

  • @Miraculous - it’s not dancers. it’s dancer.

  • I’m actually pretty sure that it’s “denser.” I think that makes more sense and is also more meaningful.

But it doesn’t really matter, does it?

  • This a very clever and timely release of this song from their new album.

Dancer is of course one of Santa’s reindeer!  Am I human or am I Dancer – well you’d ask the question yourself if you found yourself at the front of a sleigh on Christmas eve. You would have cold hands/hooves and, between chimneys, be on your knees resting whilst looking for the answer.

    Christmas number one I think

  • @Miraculous - actually the logical operator “or” allows for both to be possible in any given situation. if they were to say, you can be human or you can be dancer but not both, then the “or” would be exclusive and allow for only one at a time to be a possibility.

  • Guys, I’ve heard from various sources that the lyric “Are we human or are we dancer” is from a philoshopher. Not sure who, but It almost definately is a quote.

  • Hunter S Thompson…google him kids…

  • weird. i already played this song on Guitar Hero world tour before i actually heard the whole version. the Killers game pack for GH is awesome.

  • “are we human or are we dancer” means we are raising a generation of dancers making people afraid of stepping out of place and following their own beat. people were only following steps they were taught, and were taught not to change them. in the song “sometimes i get nervous when i see an open door” by this it means he is afraid to take different opportunities when they are presented to him because living in the US has made us all afraid to go against what we thought of all our lives .quote ..by hunter s.thompson

  • Good song, but … 12,800 views? fo reals?

  • @Ember725 - LMAO! That was priceless. My sentiments exactly.

  • @Miraculous - Haha i love you. can I have your number? //emma

  • @Miraculous - Ha! This just made my day…oh the hillarity…I’m sharing…

  • Such a nice post.waiting for more.

  • Please post more of this. I largely enjoyed it.
