Have I ever thanked you guys for the things you do?
If not.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
That was cute, I liked the part in the music shop.
Interesting stuff. It’s fun to see “inside” their heads, and see that musicians are real people just like the rest of us. I wish them success! (I only hope it doesn’t spoil the kid-like wonder they seem to have right now).
I went to their concert back in 2005 at the El Rey theater. I was in the very front and was pretty into the show (singing along to songs and all that). At the end of the encore, as he was finishing up the final lines of the song, Joel started walking up to the front of the stage and pulled the guitar strap over his shoulders…then as he sang the last note, he stretched out his guitar towards me and I grabbed the thing. The song ended, and the band walked off the stage.
I was speechless…and just sort of held the guitar close to me as hard as I could.
After about 3 minutes of showing it off and standing there, one of the stage equipment guys who was leering at me the whole time came and said he had to take it back. I think he was just jealous. And, I don’t know what I was thinking, but I just complied. To this day, I regret not fighting it more. I probably could have kept it.
Alright, I think this and the Priscilla Ahn thing are the only cool, out-of-the-ordinary things that have happened to me at a concert.
